CPD is a separate unit of local government with an elected Board of five residents who serve four-year terms. The Board meets on the second Monday of every month to set policy and to oversee Park District operations that is managed by its Executive Director. CPD manages 26 acres of parkland with two full-time staff, and up to three part-time staff. Approximately 350 recreation programs, divided into three seasons are administered by two full-time staff and up to 35 part-time employees. Our front office is administered by one full-time person and up to three part-time employees. La Grange Park is a very special place where up 150 volunteers help carryout various recreation programs. In fiscal year 2009-10, 63% of all Park District revenue is coming from La Grange Park property taxes, with the average homeowner paying approximately $150 per year. Nearly 33% of all revenue in the current fiscal year is coming from recreation program fees and charges. Click on “General Information” to review the current budget and Strategic Plan.
